Steam Wrecker NYC X19531 with Tender X19442 Circa 1940-45+

Although I do not have a prototype photo, NYC X19531 was an Industrial Works 120 ton steam wrecker built in 1917. I do not know where on the system it was stationed. This is the Tichy kit which I have finished in typical NYC MOW crane markings. Added Kadee #158 couplers, scratch-built cut levers, air hoses, metal code 88 wheels and scratch-built boom sway braces. Weight 3-1/2 oz.

NYC X19442 was photographed with the Jackson, Michigan wrecker X19532 (160 ton). Tichy AC&F flat car kit modified with reduced and re-spaced stake pockets, revised side sill rivet patterns, and wooden sides. Scratch-built underbody racks with wood blocking loads, Kadee #158 couplers, scratch-built cut levers, air hoses, metal code 88 wheels and Tichy spreader/cables. Weight: 2-1/2 oz (note some underbody detail is covered with Liquid Gravity weight for optimal operating performance).
